OUR HISTORY

IDP Consulting was founded in 1986 by Paul Sperry to help maximize the benefits of personal computers in corporate America.

From the mid 80’s to the mid 90’s, IDP was responsible for designing and implementing some of the most advanced help desk operations for companies such as American Express, Merrill Lynch, and the Catholic Medical Centers of New York.

Although every client was different, the challenge was the same—create the highest level of support at the most efficient cost.

  • Our Focus

    Today our focus is on small-to-medium size businesses, but our mission remains the same as always—offer Fortune-1000-level support services to all of our customers. Although the revenue for smaller companies is lower, the service level requirements are significantly higher.

    For example, a server crash could disrupt your entire business, which proportionally has a much greater financial impact. This increases the challenge of “do more with less”, which has been the foundation of our managed services offering.

  • Our Goal

    In our goal to provide a virtual IT organization to our clients, IDP also offers a suite of consulting and data center services.

    These services range from business continuance planning to software integration and development projects. It takes people with tremendous knowledge and depth of experience to undertake projects of this magnitude.

    At IDP, we have experienced in-house professionals who will get the job done, on time, within budget, and to today’s technology standards. That’s a promise.
